A CLEARER PRIVACY MODEL

Privacy and security

All conversion processing happens in your browser. File contents are not uploaded to a conversion server. That is the boundary our tools are built around.

What local processing means

  1. You choose a file. The page reads the file you select or drop into the tool.
  2. The browser runs the conversion. It may first download a library, WebAssembly engine or OCR model.
  3. You download the result. The output is created on your device. We do not store its contents on our server or maintain a file history.

What still uses the internet

The website, fonts and processing libraries arrive through network requests. Hosting and delivery providers can log those requests and connection details, and hosting-level performance measurements may record page addresses or loading timings. Local file processing does not mean that visiting the website is anonymous or that no network information exists.

Security has practical limits

Local processing reduces the need to transfer file contents, but it is not a guarantee of complete security. Your device, browser, extensions, downloaded software and network environment still matter. A shared or compromised device can expose files independently of the conversion tool.

Keep your browser updated, use a device you trust and retain original files. Check results before relying on them, particularly for documents or data where a small conversion error could matter.

Control what remains on your device

Manage downloaded results through your device and browser settings. The browser can cache conversion libraries and record download history. Clearing the website's data does not automatically delete files you saved in your Downloads folder.

Quick answers

Does local conversion mean that no network requests occur?

No. The website, fonts, processing libraries and language models may be downloaded through ordinary network requests. The selected file contents are processed locally and are not included in those requests.

Does closing the page delete a result I downloaded?

No. Downloaded results remain files on your device until you delete them. Browser or operating-system download history and cached software are separate from the current conversion state.
