About MP3 to M4A
The converter decodes the MP3 and writes AAC audio inside an M4A container. This changes the format for a destination that needs M4A, while preserving neither the original MP3 bitstream nor every tag.
Common questions
Does this create Apple Lossless audio?
No. This tool writes AAC audio in an M4A container, not ALAC. M4A is a container name and does not by itself mean that its audio is lossless.
Are audio tags and every track preserved?
No. The converter processes the first audio track and removes metadata. Keep the original for artwork, tags, extra tracks or other information the output does not retain.
Does MP3 to M4A upload my selected file?
No. The selected file is processed in your browser rather than uploaded to a conversion server. The page may download processing software or models, and ordinary website connection requests still occur.
Why can the first use take longer?
The browser may first download a processing engine. Speed depends on your browser, available memory and the file's complexity. Keep this tab open until the result is ready.
