About JFIF to JPG
JFIF already contains JPEG image data, but some destinations only list .jpg or .jpeg. This tool reads the image and writes a new JPG copy, with a quality setting for the new encoding.

Common questions
What is the difference between JFIF and JPG?
JFIF describes a common way of storing JPEG image data, while JPG is a widely used filename extension for JPEG images. Some upload forms accept JPG even when they reject a JFIF filename.
Does JFIF to JPG improve image quality?
No. The converter creates a new JPEG encoding of the existing image. It cannot recover detail lost earlier, and repeated lossy encoding may introduce additional artifacts.
Does JFIF to JPG upload my selected file?
No. The selected file is processed in your browser rather than uploaded to a conversion server. The page may download processing software or models, and ordinary website connection requests still occur.
Why can the first use take longer?
The browser may first download a processing engine. Speed depends on your browser, available memory and the file's complexity. Keep this tab open until the result is ready.
