Common questions
Are YAML comments kept in the JSON output?
No. Comments and presentation details are not part of the JSON data model. The output contains the parsed values rather than the original YAML formatting.
Why are .inf, .nan or circular YAML aliases rejected?
Ordinary JSON cannot represent non-finite numbers or circular references. Replace those values or references with a JSON-compatible structure before conversion.
Does YAML to JSON upload my selected file?
No. The selected file is processed in your browser rather than uploaded to a conversion server. The page may download processing software or models, and ordinary website connection requests still occur.
Why can the first use take longer?
The browser may first download a processing engine. Speed depends on your browser, available memory and the file's complexity. Keep this tab open until the result is ready.
